Program

Overview

The actual agenda will be posted closer to the date of the 2023 workshop. Even then, please expect to be flexible. Sometimes a topic will go long as there may be extra discussion on some points. We will be talking about otters the whole time and you will always be learning. The file link at the bottom of the page are the agendas from the 2014 and 2016 Otter Keeper Workshops. Expect the same general topics and the same type of schedule. It will not be exactly the same.

The first night will be an Ice Breaker and Introductions. This will start around 5:30 TBD. The last day will go into the afternoon and will then be capped off with an optional night-on-the-town with other attendees and the instructors. Plan your travel time accordingly so that you don't miss anything.

Expect the days to be long. We start early and go late into the evenings. You are being sent by your institution to learn. The Instructors and Organizers try to pack a lot into the days and want to give you as much knowledge as possible. (Your days will be long, but believe me the Instructors' days are even longer.) You will learn a lot and have a lot of fun.

Be sure to interact with all the other attendees and speak with each of the instructors one-on-one sometime during the workshop. We want you to make connections that you can draw on later.
